Efficacy of a combination of regional methods of anesthesia with general anesthesia in corneal transplantation

Background. Despite the significant development of modern anesthesiology, pain relief surgical patients is still unsatisfactory. Inadequate management causes psychological discomfort and complications. The combination general anesthesia with various options for local allows one to get closer solving problem pain. aim study was compare effect multicomponent balanced (intravenous + inhalation) anesthesia, supplemented by pterygopalatine fossa blockade on safety efficacy corneal transplantation. Materials methods. included 73 patients, divided into two groups. Group С received group B — additionally. main criteria evaluating results were: stability hemodynamics gas exchange during surgery, severity intraoperative syndrome recording analgesia nociception index, postoperative incidence nausea vomiting. Results. Both schemes anesthetic made it possible avoid pronounced fluctuations in hemodynamic parameters at all stages study. Analyzing pain, we found that С, could be considered insufficient first 7 minutes most traumatic stage operation, while index did not decrease below 50.
